This morning I have just returned from a nice run. I have been running so fast, I have not taken the time to write here about the many miracles! I have truely been carried on the wings of angels.
This past weekend Brad, Chandler and I participated in a relay race titled the Ragnar Wasatch Back. It is a 180.5 mile relay race from Logan to Heber to Park City. It consists of 36 legs of a race run by a team of 12 individuals. We were invited to participate on a team registered by my cousin Natalie Ashby, and organized by her brother - Jeffery Reeder. There were two vehicles with 6 runners assigned to each vehicle. We would drive to the start line, and then stop and support the runner offering water and/or gatorade, encouragement, smiles, and hope. Then we would travel another few miles down the trail, and drop the next runner to take the baton and continue the race. Our start time was 12:40 p.m. on Friday. I am grateful that this race begins on Friday so we are done by Saturday afternoon, and not on Sunday as the Moab daiy does it. We have never done that race simply because it begins on Saturday, and continues into Sunday. This race is started on Friday, thus honoring the Sabbath day. We had a great time! I set up a wiki site to help coordinate details on activies such as this one, see that site at smile-adventures.wetpaint.com. I carried the camera with me, but there are just a few from the race. I have not attached a slide presentation for a while, I will do one today because I have many cute pictures to share!
I am so blessed! Today Brad is at Girls camp with Liesl. He is such a good Dad! I am grateful for him. I am grateful for his willingness to sacriface, and his faith that when he serves others, extending himself even beyond limits of what he understands, our Heavenly Father makes up the difference.
I received a cute note from a subcontractor who is working on our basement remodel, it reads:
To: YOU
Date: TODAY
From: GOD
Subject: GRATITUDE
Reference: LIFE
This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do
Not need your help. So, have a nice day.
I love you.
P.S. And, remember...
If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do
Not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for
God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved,
but in My time, not yours.
Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying
about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your
life now.
Wow, I have many wonderful things in life to focus on today! I have three little ones who want rice krispie treats for breakfast, and are trying to make them by themselves (8,6 and 4 yrs old) I better go help.
I heard a beautiful song this morning about being in the wings of Angels. It was beautiful like the song Fly Again which Liesl so beautifully put here on my blog. I will try to find the name. I woke up to a talk from Ricks College about flying in formation, and helping others like the geese do - like the city of Enoch. I am grateful to live in St. George, Utah where we have a station 105.7 that is BYU Radio. The talk was playing this morning when I woke up, just because I needed it. Answers and miracles just for me. Thank you Heavenly Father for handling my SFGTD box. :) I love you. I will focus on beautiful things. Thank you Heavenly Father! xoxo
