Today I spent most of my day in the office. I was able to accomplish lots! I missed my little ones, and so while I am there I really try to work hard and get the work done so I can come home!
Sometime this afternoon, little J was playing with a straw, and wrestling with S when the straw poked little S in the eye. I understand it was around 1 p.m. and Big J called me at the office concerned around 5. He explained that there was blood in her eye, but the spot was not as big as the end of his pinkie finger.
We were in the middle of a birthday party for T.W. when he called with L had made a beautiful Poppy seed cake for. She is so talented - thank you L! B determined he would leave and hurry home to check on S. I called to check up on her, and learned that she was out playing soccer. I supposed she wasn't too hurt! B. came home quickly and agreed that the blood wasn't increasing, and that we should watch it until morning, to see if it gets worse.
I am grateful that the poke was not more damaging! She will have a red eye for a few days, but I don't believe it is really too bad. She was so tired tonight, she was glad to get tucked into bed. I stayed at the office for another hour, and managed to get through most of my urgent responsibilities there. We are trying to leave to the Salmon River with Senior team on Wednesday, so I have lots to do before then to be ready to go! C. found this BSA camp where they teach you to kayak in the white water of the Salmon river. He is way excited! It will be a fun memory with my older kids. I am praying that my little ones will be ok without us around!
Question of the day: We have been told that the "Future is as bright as your faith." In the Bible, Lot and his wife are told to not look back, but his wife doesn't listen, she looked back, and was turned into a pillar of salt because she wasn't obedient. What am I looking forward to? What directions should my life be going? Should I be involved in Advancement with the BSA? How about Cubs? Should we home school everyone again this year? Where should J be this fall? How can I get it all done?
