Sugery?

I sit right now at the Coral Desert Surgery Center waiting for B. He broke both of the little bones in his nose last week on the river trip. I took him to the hospital in Salmon, Id, but they claimed there was nothing for them to do for him. They put steri strips over the gash on the top of his nose and said that was all they could do. When we got back, B went to see Dr. D from our ward, who strongly suggested that we have it corrected. Initially they said because they had put him on Ibuprofen in Id, his blood would be too thin to operate for ten days. He went in for the blood test which came back at acceptable levels to get this done. They say that he will be down for five days. Dr. suggested that while they were in there they do some other alterations to the turbins in his nasal cavity. I am so conservative that I vote no. The Dr. assures that this is just standard procedure, I am so not standard. B is not standard either - he is exceptional in every way!

C has been at On-Belay camp all week. He has not had many experiences away from home without another member of the family. I hope he is doing good this week!
