Book Of Mormon, Virtue Value Project

The value "Virtue" in the Young Women's Personal Progress Program has a different value goal than any of the others. It is to read the Book of Mormon. Virtue was the value of the month for August, and so for the Personal Progress night I was in charge of, I issued the challenge to all of the young women to read the Book of Mormon as our gift to Savior for Christmas. The kick off day was August 26th, and I gave each of the girls a schedule showing how much they need to read every day to accomplish this goal in 100 days, finishing on December 2nd, and then I gave them this cute color in the space to help them see how much they have accomplished, and how much they have left to finish - thanks to the great Site Sugar Doodle for sharing talents of so many! That night we read the first assignment out loud, and then we made cute pockets for them to keep all their YW materials together. They turned out really cute!

As a mid project reward for the girls to keep them working on this 100 day goal, we have planned an "On Target" activity where we are going to take them shooting at the Shooting Sports park at the 30 and 60 days. We think this will encourage them to keep working toward the goal, then in December we are planning a fun surprise.
