We visited the camp last weekend, and plotted spaces for all the activities. There are nine stations that he is running double so the boys will be in groups of about eight boys and go through these games/challenges in the dark. I hope we are done by 1:00 a.m. The moon is supposed to set that night at 11:30 so it will be really dark after that. That will make it cool! That may help get the boys to settle down after the activities wind down. We will then serve breakfast in the pavillion in the morning.
It is unfortunate, we didn't catch that this activity was on the District Calendar last year on the same weekend as our Kokopelli Triathlon! We have sponsored and helped with the tri for years now. We are torn to miss it! I am going to do the registration on Friday, and then go to the camp to help with the activities in the middle of the night and breakfast in the morning. I know that B could do it without me, but we do things as a family, and I am grateful to stand beside him. He supports me in so many projects, I am happy to get to support him. We have a couple of women coming to help with breakfast, it will be fun to do the scouting thing as a family instead of just B alone! In troops outside the church scouting is a whole family thing with the women involved beside the men. We like it better that way!
