I hope my kids remember fun times! They were all dressed up in cowboys and had goodies to throw. The kids parade was definitely more fun, there were only 27 entries and we were the tail end. The crowd wasn't as big, but we didn't have to wait hours to go either. Saturday's parade had more than 100 entries. We were #88. That was a long way back! I took jr team and sat on the side at the very beginning to watch, they made a haul on free candy, Popsicles, toys, t-shirts, balls. They had fun!
Those home (which isn't very many any more ekkk!) went to the rodeo Friday night. C was in Provo for a track meet Friday afternoon. Big J is.. just not here. Little J had been throwing up all night on Thursday night, and by Friday night I just didn't believe it was a good idea to take him, but I haven't been for a long time because I always stay home with babies or sick kids. I went, but it wasn't a good idea! We got there at 7:30 and before B made it out of line with hot dogs for all I had throw up in my lap. J & I came home!
C got home late that night riding the bus to Provo with the track team. He said he did good. That is a long way to drive for a three mile run. It was 10 hours on the bus for a 25 minute race. It is about the experience for him. To rub shoulders with all those public school kids, and see that they aren't having so much fun. It was a good experience, and I am grateful he can be part of a team... with an INDIVIDUAL sport! It's much better than traveling all that way to get to play 30 seconds in an hour game, all the while watching other players loose. Wow. I hope J is having better experiences where he is. The coaches here haven't even asked about him. I am grateful C isn't following that track. He needs to do his own thing, and excel in his own way!
