My little five year old turned six yesterday! September 21st is her day! She has been sooo excited about her birthday for months. I convinced her to agree to a deal where she stays five until little J turns five too. Then she can turn six. That was our tease this year. She can't turn six, she has to stay five until J turns with her! Then they can be twins! Wouldn't that be fun!? She agreed to this plan about six weeks ago, but the closer the day got, the more adamantly she was against that idea! Especially when I told her I had magic potion that helped two year olds stay two! She didn't like that idea because if J never gets to five then she never gets to turn six! Exactly! Five is one hand still, just right! She didn't agree! Today S.H. is six soooo SIX!
She wanted castles and dress up clothes for her birthday. We managed to helped her admit that she would rather have real shoes she can wear than the fake ones that hurt her feet! Granny & Gramps came down over the weekend to be here in the beautiful weather for her special day! It was soo fun to have them! Granny & I and L took S shopping between parades on Saturday, and we came home with not one, not two, not three, but Four pairs of new shoes! Wow she is in heaven! It is lucky that she is the same size as B and so this is really two for her, and two to share with B, but she is claiming all four as her birthday presents! Good! I love practical gifts!
