Tonight I had the privilege of representing the Virgin River District at J.P.'s Eagle Court of Honor! Yea! He made it! S.H. is just waiting for his paperwork to come back, and he will schedule his court of honor.
It was a well orchestrated night. B.P. has been concerned about it for months. He did a great job! My favorite parts where when scout leaders shared memories of adventures they have had with the scout. S.D. spoke only briefly about hiking on Boulder Mt., Scuba Diving off the coast of CA, etc. By sharing those details, it shows the people that they have truly participated for years to earn this award.
I am grateful to participate with young men making a difference! I hugged J. tonight and wished I could hug my own J! I talked to him this morning. He was hanging out his white shirt, hoping it would dry in an hour so he could iron it and be on time to church. What a good young man! He is carrying 19 1/2 credits this semester! Wow! That is a lot! He studied all day on Saturday. I hope he is finding a way to have fun too! He is an Eagle! I hope that C can get there soon!
