When I was a young girl, a Merrie Miss, my Mom was asked to direct the ward Road Show, a 20 minute stage presentation which involved all the youth in our ward, complete with costumes, props, stage backdrops, music, the works! She was asked to write and direct the entire production. She started with a favorite book of hers titled "The Carrot Seed"
a cute little book by Ruth Krauss I highly recommend. I have this book on display in my bedroom to see everyday, and it has influenced my everyday! Mom found music that fit the story line great... the music was a Rogers & Hammerstein written for Cinderella titled Impossible! She is so fabulous! She rewrote the words to relate to the story line!
Impossible, for a wee tiny seed to grow into a giant carrot,
Impossible! For a gang of small boys to have more faith than any parent,
For we all know that rocky seeds grow no veg-et-tab-les
Such folder roy and fiddlee dee of course it is!
Impossible! But the world is full of hopefuls like these,
Who don't believe in impossible Dreams
And because these brave, hardworking boys, Keep making their impossible tries,
Impossible...Things are happening Everyday!
It's possible for a gang of small boys to have more than any parent
It's possible, for a wee tiny seed to grow into a giant carrot!
It's possible!
Last Saturday in LDS General Conference, with my fabulous family gathered around me listening in our front room to the words of prophets, I was touched by the words of
Elder Jorge F. Zeballos Of the Seventy when he said:
"Let us with faith, enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility, and love do all that is within our reach, and we will be doing all that is possible to achieve the impossible—that is, to achieve what for the human mind is impossible but with the divine intervention of our loving Father and the infinite sacrifice brought about by our Savior becomes the greatest gift, the most glorious of realities, to live forever with God and with our families."
I wrote in my notes: "It IS POSSIBLE to ATTAIN the IMPOSSIBLE!" I have been thinking of this all week, trying to do my part with faith, enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and love my 'Due Diligence' (a term used by a respected gentleman in conversations about dreams this week)! Lots is happening, miracles before my eyes! I have said several times this week, I feel like a little girl dreaming of Princess Castles! I love working towards dreams!
