Tomorrow is Tour de St. George. Sr team (minus their leader J!) is excited to ride 100 miles, and S is going to ride the 60 miler with B! Go Team! :) We decided we didn't want to pay the $35 entry fee for Jr team to ride to the top of the dump hill and back, so I have created our own beautiful path! What began as a 30 miler to the top of the dump hill, has emerged as a 40 miler with stops at lots of parks, the Staheli Corn Maze, and ending at the city water park - same place as the other ride! I am excited to take them... the only problem is can they make it? B worked on bikes all afternoon, and took the trailer off my bike, leaving the ally cat for J to ride. I have history of my kids falling asleep on the ally cat - holding on, but being completely asleep! That could make for a long 40 miles. Sr team (s inclusive) and B start their ride at 8:00 a.m. at the main street park. They will park the truck there so we can all get home. Check out this cool map on Google Earth! Meanwhile, J called from SVU tonight actually from the grocery store. He borrowed a car, and called with questions on making dinner for the Homecoming group he is helping tomorrow night. He is making dinner for six couples :) What a good kid! He said they planned Spaghetti, some kind of bread (I think he decided to use rhodes rolls, and cook them hot - what a kid - glazing them with garlic spread - his speciality here at home!) Salad, and then Pumpkin dessert to finish it off! What a good kid! It was fun to talk to him! He was trying to figure out how to make homemade rootbeer without a 5 gallon jug. Fun! We can't wait to make it either! Tonight we hosted parties for C and L. Tomorrow's ride begins early. It will be a fun day!
