Hard Work!

Last week we had planned to go to Disneyland to celebrate birthdays for everyone in the past month. Instead we stayed home, and worked on the yard... It looks awesome! I am so grateful for everyone's help and for the amazing help and support from my parents who came to St. George from Lake Powell, jumping right in our project, then had to go home (a 4 1/2 hour drive) to be great examples and serve in the Draper Temple on Tuesday, only to get up on Wednesday and come back to help us for the rest of the week!

We worked HARD from sun up to sun down, breaking only to gather equipment and parts, and a quick lunch, eating after dark most nights! Wow! Thursday we poured 5 1/2 yards concrete in borders - I LOVED IT! I have poured lots of concrete with my Dad! I don't think he liked having us around while he was pouring, but we loved being with him! I loved last week having all my little ones out there with their shovels during prep time (which took lots of digging!!!). Then during the pour, we all grabbed a trowel, and much to my Dad's chagrin, we all got to help! He is embarrassed with our job, but I COULDN'T be more Pleased!
I loved it and will cherish the pictures of them all out there working my entire life! To look out the window during lunch and see the entire line of shovels lined up against the wall! I was bad a getting the camera, because I loved working with them SO much! (Note: I am still struggling moving because we worked so hard, and combination of 5 1/2 months pregnant and shoveling on my back - I am moving carefully... but LOVING the new look in the front yard!) Friday we stripped forms, installed sprinkler line, and prepared for sod. Saturday morning we picked up sod early, and had it laid by noon! Thank you all for your HARD work!

It is beautiful to sit on the front porch, look out the windows at the beauty there! Thank you all!!
