Tender Mercies of Today

Tonight we held our final planning meeting for the 4th of July festivities in Bloomington. Last year I was asked to oversee the celebration and we pulled off a 5K run and a Breakfast at the park. I thought that was pretty good for the inaugural year, especially when it was only the first week of June that we planted all the trees with the Youth Conference! On the heels of that activity, they asked me to take on the 4th Celebration. It was honestly better than I expected!

This year we have had months in preparation time! No excuses like last year where I was totally overwhelmed to even consider the event! Yet as I say that, we have been rather engaged (because I can't say the BUSY word (Being Under Satan's Yoke). We have been fully engaged with life! I am excited to be a small part of the celebrations this year! With Brad's help, we have organized a fabulous committee which grows a bit each week, and it is shaping up to be a full scale event! I am excited!

I am so grateful for miracles tonight with others stepping up to help with details especially with regards to our desire to honor the Veterans from Bloomington, unable to determine how to find them! It has been a struggle, but I have hope tonight that we can even pull off that part! Wow!

Tonight my Sr. Team and B are on their way to California for a Scuba Diving Trip they have all been looking forward to! I drove to Beaver to pick up C today so he could go with his Dad and siblings! I pray they will travel in safety and find a hotel to stay in - last check they still had about 2 1/2 hour drive, and hadn't found a hotel for less than $200/night so they were still calling! I am grateful for guardian angels which do so much to keep us from harms way! Please continue to bless us please Heavenly Father?

J and I went to the 5:30 a.m. temple session this morning. What a joy to be in the temple with my son! He is so amazing! Tender mercy to have him around for a few more weeks! I am so grateful!

Tender mercy helping me to find Chandler today! He could have easily been out on the mountain some place, but I prayed they would be there still. They had been working on the Orienteering Merit Badge, and were just finishing to have lunch when I arrived! Another 20 minutes, they were leaving to go rock climbing someplace away from camp. I count that as a huge tender mercy! Thank you Father! I am way behind in my points tonight - I always am! I tried to score a few today... a new day tomorrow so I can show thee my gratitude! Thank you!
