As I cuddle close this little one, I seek for light and knowledge. This morning I am grateful to have had a few minutes to study and seek. I was guided to this message titled "The Importance of Birth." Amazing how guided and directed, I came across this post via a facebook note from a friend in Atlanta. Thanks C for sending light my way today!
I am so grateful for the angels that accompanied me through the birth of my children. I absolutely know they were close! Lots to ponder and understand!
In this world where mothers are so under attack. I woke this morning, frustrated that I don't seem to accomplish anything. Then upon more careful review, I have to acknowledge that the reading lessons, math pages, snuggles and reading time all mean something! I have reflected on this post from amazing blogger Shawni on the Art of Motherhood. In contrast to this article in Meridian Magazine titled "When Did it become Socially Acceptable to Hate Children."
Last night while at our Stake Picnic (an annual event held at the local park where hundreds come to say hello to their neighbors and friends in the community) a friend commented that too often her daughter has been taught that real title for Mom is "Butt Wiper." She says that the job of Motherhood is constantly undermined by even teachers of the youth in the LDS church, who say that they support and encourage families. Yet our girls are being told that education and employment is where the world shows appreciation and recognition.
The ploys of Satan are so real! He is attacking our family from every direction! He attacks from the inside and the out trying to undermine and diminish the role of mothers. I love being a mother, even as the math pages and reading books, dirty dishes, and laundry all scream for attention! I enjoy being a girl - even a Mom of beautiful young people! Las Deo!
