This morning I am in Salt Lake in a beautiful castle of a home. My Sr. team + S and B are on Kolob mountain about to embark on an adventure to remember for their lifetime! They were invited to participate in a Cattle Drive known as a "Round-up" in our home, and they are SO excited! Tonight they are in a cabin of a friend, ready with their three horses, and four-wheeler to enjoy the leaves and fall color on the edge of beautiful Zion Canyon as they enjoy nature up close and personal in a solid Western way!

With little ones under my wings, I decided we too wanted to get out and enjoy the outdoors in a new way, so we flew North for a night or two, with hopes of finding some pretty colors today! I have two little ones in my room with me, and got up with J to get a drink. Laying there, I couldn't help but talk to my Heavenly Father, and decided I needed to come record tender mercies... only to find just what I was needing! This was the post that I turned on to this early morning, titled "Holey Leaves" a beautiful thought that I want to apply to my life. As I laid there wondering where we could go to find pretty leaves today, so excited about nature and learning from her - a glimpse of my Beautiful Heavenly Mother, I am grateful to see with new eyes the work of God in my life. I am thankful for early morning inspiration that leads and guides simply. I am thankful for hugs and touches from loved ones and for their dimples, smiles, and yells of "I get the first hug" when a family member returns! What simple beauty, and yet the world would try to tell that there is something more important. More important than their beauty? They haven't seen or experienced that kind of joy then, and I suppose it is better that way, they would never trade it back! I am so grateful to be a Mom! So grateful I didn't sell the promptings and direction from God for something worldly! I can't wait to take them to the mountains today!
Of note, I need to record that I am so grateful to say I have been running three days already this week! I didn't make it Wednesday, but I sent B to the temple. I decided we both couldn't go, and I got to proof read a paper for a beautiful soon to be college graduate (Associate of Science degree) instead of getting a run in that morning. She is amazing and totally worth it! :) Great job on your paper L! I love you!
