Life has been fast paced, what's new. I have been up early, and late trying to accomplish. The building is moving ahead quickly. Decisions are looming, what is the wall color? What ceiling tile? Light fixtures? Kitchen layout? Doors? Wood? Trim? Oh, the list is long!
I am grateful for journal notes which remind me of miracles and directions given. I certainly have been blessed beyond my abilities, and comprehension! I am grateful for the peace, only my Savior can give! I have felt his love and guidance!
Most recent miracles include:
Last week during the rainstorm that I wrote about last, B and I went to lock up the building, must have been Saturday evening. I took these pictures...

Details. That is water on the floor in the corner of two offices upstairs at the building. We were locking up the building after the rockers had been there, even Saturday, hanging the sheetrock. What a miracle that we found the problem now! After more careful investigation we have reason to believe that the drainpipes in the columns on the back of the building have burst, and they are eroding away the columns, foundation, etc. on the West side of the building. Needless to say, had we not found the problem now, soon that would be my new carpet all wet! I am so grateful for that rain! Yes, I am still grateful it was held off so we could get the units to the roof, but I am also grateful for the tender mercy that whispered that we needed to check the offices, and that guided B to see the water in the corner that dark evening! We believe we have found a solution to the problem, and are working towards that end, a minor detour in the path to completion, grateful that we learned of the problem now!
This week C has been participating in tryouts for the Dixie High Soccer team. He is nervous and really wants to be successful! He has struggled in Chemistry at Dixie College this semester, but I believe he is pulling it together. The first cut list is to be posted in a few hours (9:30 a.m.) and he is anxious to see the list, hoping his name will be on there!
L was sad on Tuesday evening after our fabulous Mother & Daughter special evening (New Beginnings with a unique twist).

Dixie High's prom is this weekend, and the other girls her age at the activity are both planning details for the dance. L really wanted to go. I overheard her lamenting that she wished she wasn't so different. She and I had a long talk into the night, about becoming, and who she wanted to be. She has not wanted to be a part of the high school scene, and yet she does, we all want to be accepted, and a part.
Elder Oak's "Good, Better, Best"
is about just that; foregoing something good for something better, and having the confidence and faith to not care about what those in the building are taunting. Easier said than done! To be in the world, but not of the world. That is the challenge!
Needless to say, she was completely delighted last night, when her sisters came hollering that there was something for her at the door!

A young man got the courage to ask her to Prom, even just a couple of days away! She and I were up into the night last night, preparing an answer "Junior Prom will Pop Rocks!" she answered with Junior Mints (a few packages) and a couple packages of Pop Rocks hidden inside one of the boxes with a handwritten note that she is excited with her phone number on the back. She is thrilled, and rightly so! This is a cute young man, one of the Eagle Scouts who painted fire hydrants for his project in conjunction with our Youth Service project a couple years ago, who made it all the way! He was one of the valiant who took the reigns and got his job done! I am excited for her. It is a dream come true! The theme for Prom is Dreams!

B has gone to SLC, to meet his Dad and go snowmobiling with S for a couple of days. He successfully settled a couple of big cases this week, and he is humbled and grateful for the blessings of our Heavenly Father! I am too! We have been so cared for!
My parents are down for a couple of days, I am so grateful for them and their help! I am grateful for guardian angels which protect us on that long road to and from Salt Lake! Thank you!
My littlest S is rolling over! She can get up on all fours, but isn't really moving forward yet. She rolls around, moving left to right and back, but frustrated that she wants to take off! Her determination to get what she wants is fierce! She is so beautiful!

J had a great week last week! I am so grateful for his success! I love that little boy! My little boy forever!

Our Mother Daughter event went well. I am grateful to the darling Mrs. Betts. She was so fabulous! We met at the pottery lab, and I shared this message from the New Era, Larry A. Hiller, "In the Potter’s Hands", Dec. 1999, 20 which reads:
"All of us at times feel common, or useless, or unattractive. Learn something from simple clay. In its natural state, clay is common and far from beautiful. But in the hands of a master potter, it takes on a pleasing personality, becoming a thing both of usefulness and unique beauty.
But before clay can be made beautiful and useful, it must be centered on the potter’s wheel. As the wheel spins, the potter molds, shapes, and lifts the clay into the desired form. If the clay is not centered, it cannot be shaped properly. Eventually, natural forces fling it from the wheel. Our lives are like that.
We must become centered on Christ—and remain centered on Him. Only then can our Father in Heaven shape and mold our lives to His grand design for us....
Clay that has been shaped and molded may become beautiful. And as it dries, it becomes harder. But it never achieves its full potential until it has been through the fire. In the great heat of the potter’s kiln, the clay is transformed.
Hidden flaws that were not repaired reveal themselves at this time, and the piece breaks or crumbles.
But a vessel that has integrity comes from the fire stronger and more beautiful than ever. In life, too, we pass through fiery trials that test our faith and integrity. Then if we have remained centered on Christ, and if through true repentance we have let Him make us whole and sound, taking from us our flaws and mistakes, we come forth from the fire as beautiful, useful vessels in His hands."
