Promise of Life

The Easter Bunny didn't come to our home yesterday. I had a conversation with little S the night before, and asked why we have Easter. Seriously, she couldn't answer me. We talked for a while, and I questioned what the "resurrection" is. She didn't know. B and I decided that we would lock the doors, and not allow the Easter Bunny to dilute and distract our celebration for the real meaning of the season! We got the kids up early Sunday, and took them to the Dixie Rock area, we climbed to the top of one of the red rocks, and there opened our 12 eggs representing the real meaning of Easter, and we read the scriptures and talked about them. When we got to egg #10, about the earth quakes and darkness the night of His death, it started down pouring rain! It was a testimony to me that our Father knows where we are and what is going on! I was in a skirt, and sandals. We picked up and headed to the car, appreciating the protection from the elements, but pretty wet! The rain didn't last long, just enough for us to get to the car.

I am grateful for B who is so fabulous! I am grateful for his dedication to spiritual insights! He led out on the discussion, and I was impressed! Thanks B!

Saturday morning we helped with the teen Easter egg hunt again in Winchester Hills. I don't think we will do that again. The kids were all so grumpy about everything. They didn't want to have to find the eggs. When they did, they were grumpy that the prize was (always) "so stupid!" Impossible to please. We are grateful for D&C and the great things they do! I don't think we will do the hunt again next year! The parents were grateful, but the kids were not. ugh!

After the hunt, we went jeeping with Dixie 4x4 crew and the Christensens. It was a fun afternoon. We were grateful to get out and see the sunshine for a bit!
