Running! Recording Miracles!

Wow, in the last few weeks we have completed the building!!! Huge! Finally got past final inspections after our Trek week. Trek was great. The theme from Trek seemed to be "I can do Hard things!" In my opinion, they missed the important part of this theme: "I can do Hard things through the Help of Christ, our Lord!" The end of that hasn't been much a part! Everyone in testimonies quotes the first part, but not the end. Too bad! I certainly have a testimony that it is only with Heavenly Help that I can do hard things!!

We held a simple Family Home Evening a week ago, Monday, June 20th, to dedicate the building, pausing to recognize His hand in the details of our lives. It was a beautiful night. T.W. and A.M. returned that Monday evening with their families to participate. C&D were late and missed B's beautiful dedicatory prayer. Dedicating the building to the service of people with His help. To bless the lives of our family, those of our employees, as well as our clients. To stand with Integrity and courage. It was a great prayer! Thanks B! In J's letter this week he had found A&W Root beer at Costco, and was loving a little treat from home. We served Root beer floats in his honor at the Dedication! Missing J, but grateful for his service, his great attitude, his Faith! J is doing great! See his blog for details!

Must take note of the miracles and abundant help of my Parents! They are so amazing and fabulous! I am so grateful for their perceptions of needs, and their faith to help! They have driven to St. George nearly every Wednesday morning since January! Some 22 trips back and forth from SLC! That is a lot! Thanks Mom and Dad! They work in the Draper temple on Tuesday afternoons, and arise EARLY on Wednesdays to drive here to St. George! Often they are here by 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday's meaning they left Sandy before 4:00 a.m.! Miracles that they have not had a single problem on any of those 20 trips! I am so grateful for guardian angels who have protected them as they have selflessly served! Thanks Mom & Dad! This project could NOT have happened without their expertise! My Dad is so amazing! He has a vision, an ability to create, to build and change! B saw a vision of this building remodeled and beautiful, to serve as his office. The vision of what it has become was certainly the conglomerate of all of us, but it wasn't without the vision of my dear Dad! Thanks Dad! Thanks for sharing your talents so beautifully! Thanks Mom for sacrificing and coming to St. George nearly every week to be here to support, working, cleaning, helping with kids! They are such amazing examples! Thank you also for believing in us financially! As I write we have repaid the loans, but they have been more than trusting in sharing their abundance with us to make possible the funding without the hassles of institutionalized construction loans! Thanks for teaching us creative financing, and for stepping in to help from the beginning physically, and financially, and then especially when things got tighter than tight! Many, many prayers and tears later, we are grateful to have closed on three loans through Zions bank! Moving to the future, we now have two SBA loans on the building, and a line of credit nearly all available today! We are grateful for tender mercies, and recognize many of those in recent days and weeks!

Friday, July 1st, we held an open house for the new building! We mailed some 1,100 cards inviting clients, doctors, fellow attorneys, bankers, community members to come see the new "digs."

Planning for the event, we had no idea how many to prepare for! We bought about 1000 Blue Bunny Ice Cream treats, and... we have a lot of ice cream in freezers! We felt we had a great turn out, but not everyone took ice cream, and we wanted to not run out! We felt great about it, and were thrilled that so many made it, especially on the kickoff Friday afternoon of this holiday weekend! Part of our intention of holding it this weekend is we know that it is a low production time in the office anyway, everyone is winding down for the long weekend, ready for the break. Providing a switch, informing everyone of our move, and inviting them to come see if they're interested. We feel great about our intentions and desires for the open house! Thanks all!

Of note, my dear parents who have spent so much time here helping, haven't been down since we moved in back on June 17th. They have had other commitments in Salt Lake that have kept them up there. This week my Dad is preparing and left to serve as staff at Wood Badge next week. Mom drove down alone to be here for the open house! Fun to have her here!

Tomorrow, Monday, July 4th we are a bit involved in the community celebration for Bloomington! We are grateful for so many who have stepped up to help, and pray for miracles in pulling it off! It will take miracles, I knew to turn to Him who works miracles! Thanks Father!
