Each day passes so quickly! I can't seem to catch up. The list of projects I would like to complete, the tasks that must be done to keep our home running smoothly, I wish I could somehow catch up. I want to record, to take the time to remember the moments.
Even this minute, C just came home for some lunch, he finished, and is playing hymns on the piano. It is heavenly to hear beautiful music even with a wrong note here and there, he is playing it. It is perfect! I hear a little one playing with the halloween witch, it is cackling, the little things in life! J just finished his math page, and loves to have the encouragement of 100% A+ written on his paper even though it took him several corrections to get it there. I wish we all would keep working at something until it merited 100%!

I just tucked little W.S. into his bed. He is snuggling still, not quite crawling. Just happy to let us pamper him. He loves his backpack on my back where he can oversee everything I'm doing. I have to beg "Please No" when he starts trying to climb over my shoulder using my hair as his ladder and pull up bar! It's a miracle I have any hair left on the back of my head. I adore him just the same!
Little S is known as "Twinkle Toes." She loves that name. This morning as I returned from the temple to find her in the kitchen having her favorite waffles, she ran to hug me! Then turned and running on her toes, she begged to be chased and caught with a kiss. She is so darling! I am so grateful for her. Her favorite words include "Mom" whenever she wants anything - to her it is "Hey" but it sometimes drives me right to the edge! Yesterday I was on the phone with my Dad in the kitchen, and witnessed as she opened the pantry, pushed the chair over, climbed up, reached the marshmellows, scored them, got down, found the scissors in the tall drawer she is not supposed to be able to reach (haha) opened her prize, and returned the chair, scissors to their homes hoping she wouldn't get caught. She is so smart, and so unafraid! I am so grateful for her!
Yesterday C and I met with the college counselor regarding his Associate Degree. He is on schedule to complete that degree in the Spring as his friends graduate from high school. He is well ahead of the game and I am so grateful.
Funny yesterday SVU called (the school J is attending in Virginia) to ask what the date was when J graduated from highschool. "He didn't" I responded, to which she questioned "How is he in college?" "I don't know, but he is there on scholarship." haha yep those silly homeschoolers, they accomplish what can't be done!
L is doing great - her blog is evidence of that. I am trying to wrap up a package to her, but not sure how or what to include that will make it to her! I hope she knows that I adore her, miss her, and love her for eternity!
S and I worked on two of his required scouting merit badges yesterday. I loved time with him, exploring ideas and events of the past. What do we learn from Martin Luther King Jr. about freedom of speech. What about foreign relations, ambassadors, and consults. How can YouTube videos change lives, and should we have the freedom of speach in the first place? Tough questions, I am so grateful to have these moral discussions here in our home together!
B & S are so close! I love watching them! They are both taking tennis, and practicing their instruments (piano and flute for S, only piano for B) They make beautiful music and are sooo good to their siblings! They share a room, and are excited to have little S join them in their room even though they know it will require them to be quieter in their room. I am so grateful for them!
Laus Deo! I have so much to be grateful for! Love you kids!
