Mission Call #2 in our Family!

My L will be reporting to serve in the Jackson, Mississippi Mission on May 8th!  We are SOOO excited for her!

L opened her mission call on Friday. We invited friends and family to gather at our office building on Friday afternoon, excited to open her call.  About 10:00 a.m. our darling mail lady called and let us know that she had the call! She was delivering it personally to our door. I couldn't quit jumping!  I created a playlist on youtube of mission related videos and turned it on. My little S couldn't tell what was happening. He didn't know if he should be scared or happy!

We thought we were going to get to open it at 3:00, waiting for family to finish appointments, etc.  That morning when we let family know that we really did have the call, Grandparents from Cedar Hills decided they wanted to be here. We postponed it until 4 so they could make it.

In the meantime, we went for a hike up Snow Canyon, trying to enjoy time together while waiting! :)

We are excited to get to learn about Mississippi!

The miracle of the day was that K.P. came to the opening. She leaves for her mission in two weeks to the Baton Rouge Lousiana mission. When L opened the call and read it outloud, K jumped up and said "Yes Dixie is going to Dixie!!!"  She is excited to serve, and went on to explain that she knew that she and L had been specially prepared to testify of Christ to the people in the Bible belt.  They indeed know their Bible, and are seeking the truth. They need to know that we Testify of Christ!  L has certainly been prepared by miracles innumerable to Testify of Him! I had a personal witness when this transpired that this is exactly the place that L needs to go! I am grateful for that confirmation and pray that L will receive her own witness!  She is excited to move forward with a plan for her spring! I am so grateful for her worthiness! I am grateful for her example! I am grateful for her strength! I am grateful to be her Mom! I LOVE YOU L!!!!! xoxoxoxo Forever!

L came right home that night, and immediately googled out several missionaries blogs and honestly I fell asleep that night to her reading of the missionary opportunities others have shared from Mississippi!  I am excited to have my L join the Mormon Missionary armies now serving in Mississippi!
