Team Together!

I LOVE having my family all together!  Christmas was so beautiful!  How can we be to January 20th already!  I have so much to be grateful for!

This week twice, we have loved hiking in the moonlight! I am not sure where the days disappear to, but I have so wanted to get out in the fresh air! Friday afternoon I told the kids to be ready at 4:00, but I was still running trying to get my jobs for the day done! We didn't get to leave until closer to 5:30. I bundled the little ones up so they wouldn't freeze, and we hurried out. That night we did the Bloomington Waterfall hike - a short close jaunt we haven't done for a while! It was beautiful. The moon came out, and we kept hiking further out and further. On the top we stood overlooking our little community as the lights came on. It was beautiful to see the lights and the stars!

Saturday night for our date, B and I decided we wanted an outing. We stopped at the church and prepared the room for Primary so I wouldn't have to worry about that on Sunday morning, :) then we went to Paradise Canyon for a beautiful hike under the stars! It was beautiful!  I am so grateful to live in a beautiful place where within minutes I can be in someplace as grand as that! I have so much to be grateful for!

I have been pondering, studying about relationships... how, why, what they are supposed to look like! As I teach in Primary that "I am a Child of God, and He has sent me here. Has given me an earthly home, with parents kind and dear." I am grateful that this is true for me! Today we also sang "We are as the armies of Helaman, we have been taught in our youth..." I am grateful for the opportunity I have to be the daughter, and now the Mom. Scary! I am so grateful to be a Mother. I found this clip yesterday...Motherhood, An Eternal Partnership with God. I needed just that. I am humbled to have been entrusted to teach, train, guide, and walk with these amazing young people through this life journey.

I love this quote from a favorite book by Paul Dunn:

I Challenge you to Prove the Lord
Throughout His dealings with men,
the Lord Himself
has dealt with promises and
challenges.
And He has invited us to prove Him
by accepting the challenges
and expecting the promises.
The connections between the two
are of His design;
and
you can know that
for yourself
if you will engage
in
that proving process.
I challenge you to prove the Lord
by accepting His challenges;
and
as you do....

(Now you have to turn the book over and read from the other direction :))

I Promise You that the Rewards in this Book will be Yours
That the number
of promises
you receive
will be the number of challenges
you accept.

This has had me thinking about what challenges I have accepted, and how many I have possibly turned away from, closed the door on, rejected and what those accompanying promises might have been.

Yesterday I found this clip too:  Good Things to Come.  Which is really good!  Don't you Quit!  But also this one:  Your Potential, Your Privileges.  This is the song we are learning in Primary this month, it holds ALL the wisdom of the ages in it's simple, profound message: I Am A Child of God.

This I know is True! I am so grateful for the Priesthood Power on the earth to teach me, guide me, help me find my way back to my Heavenly Home!
