One in a Million!

This week in Primary I am going to teach One in a Million.  I love the Primary Music app and the page on the Friend website on this song.  I also so appreciate these ideas on teaching this song.  I am excited about the second hand counting.  I am also going to get 1000 tootsie rolls and putting them 100 in a bag at a time.  I am taking one vanilla tootsie roll, to include as one in the 1000.  If this is only 1000 and it is overflowing my jar, then what would 1 million look like?  Wow!  Then I am going to connect the app to my projector and have the kids sing along with the website.  I use flipcharts lots!  I recreated the chart created by singingmayhem for this song to a vertical presentation linked here  for my use.  It breaks the hinges in my book to hold it the other way.  I also created this handout to give the kids to have them watch about other children around the globe on the Friend site.

I also heard a cute idea from my sister, a chorister in Northern Utah, she broke the song "My Heavenly Father Loves Me" into phrases, and then she had the kids divide into groups, and rewrite that phrase into something that tells them Heavenly Father Loves them.  She said it was sooo fun!  If I have time tomorrow, I plan on doing that.  She created these sheets to hand to the groups to rewrite each phrase.

I am also thinking of introducing the Build an Ark song.  Jolly Jen has a flipchart available here.

Just my ideas.  I have had the privilege of attending parts of two great women's conferences today.  I'm excited to blog about them, but off to home show with my beautiful L and prince charming.... hurry only a few hours left and we haven't begun!  We'll pick a few and that will be enough!

Love time together!
