Our FHE theme for the month is Love. Tonight it was perfect for this conference talk L choose to have us watch by Jeffery R. Holland titled The First Great Commandment. How do we show love? Can we buy love? Can we fake love? What does it mean to be loyal? We had a good discussion about these questions tonight. We talked about how fun it was to hear from J last night. He often calls and just wants to be a part of what's happening here. Last night he took the time to talk to everyone. It makes each feel special and valued when he takes time to hear about their day and to visit with them. I am thankful for the unity that we have as a family and hope that somehow we can perpetuate that beyond these growing up years into eternity! I am so grateful to be the Mom to such an awesome group of young people! They are truly amazing! I learn so much from them. They talked about loyalty and being a true friend. It was pointed out that though the Savior loved those apostles, he expected them to love Him too. Love goes both ways. The Lord expected them to show their love to Him by keeping His commandments, leaving their own ways and following Him. We don't expect people to follow us, but we do expect that love is not just given one direction. It was a great discussion that I hope we all remember.

I have two little ones that don't feel well. They were fine yesterday, but today B and S both have slept for most of the day. I hope they feel better tomorrow. I am thankful that I get to be their Mom and that I get to be home with them to hug them when they don't feel good! I hope they know how much I LOVE them!
Hoping for feeling better tomorrow. :)
