Clear back in 1986 in the friend, there was a cute idea to make a resurrection puppet http://www.lds.org/ldsorg/v/ index.jsp?hideNav=1&locale=0& sourceId= be5c81313e1ab010VgnVCM1000004d 82620a____&vgnextoid= 21bc9fbee98db010VgnVCM1000004d 82620aRCRD
Thanks again to Susan Fitch for the cute drawings to make these Super Cute this year! Happy Resurrection Sharing & Singing time this week.
Update:
Yea! Sister Finch has created new drawings just for these puppets! (Click here to her page!) They are so cute! I have made hundreds of these little puppets with other drawings, but these will be darling! I am all out, but love to send them to missionaries so I will be working on a new set to share soon! Thank you Sister Finch!!!!!
I don't know how many puppets I have made since that year... a lot! In years past, I found a simple drawing in a Friend, and traced it with fabric crayon, and then iron transferred it to the front of a pair of cute puppets. As recommended, I made one on colored fabric (green or pink) representing the body and one on white to represent the spirit. The white one is a bit smaller than the colored so it fits inside. I simplified the pattern so it is just round on the top, instead of having the hands out.
Last year my kids made several sets and sent them to missionaries in the field - including our own Elder! This year, I am hosting the Activity Girls for a special choir practice, and I'm going to have them make them. They are so simple and perfect for sharing time this week!
I found these darling baptism kids http://susanfitchdesign. blogspot.com/2013/01/more- baptism-kids.html for the white spirit puppets, and I begged my daughter to create a colored version for the body. If' your interested in the colored version you'll have to email me because I am sensitive to the darling artist who really owns these cute kids!
Excited to have the girls sewing here tomorrow! :)
