I realized late last night that our Primary Presidency had added a few songs to the program that I wasn't prepared for. They chose to include "I Wonder When He Comes Again" both verses. So, in a panic, I put this flipchart together with both verses for today! It will be beautiful for the last part of the program!
They have asked to have the Achievement Day Girls sing a song about gratitude. I taught them "Life is O'reflowing with Beautiful Things" over the summer so they are going to come refresh their memory of that one for the next couple weeks. I know there are several flip charts out there for it, but this one is my favorite (Thanks Tina! I love it!)! It is a beautiful song, I am grateful for such talented people (Mr. Croft, composer of this song - thank you!) who share their talents and bless our lives!
This week I was reading the lesson I believe was taught in Relief Society today #20 from the Teachings of Lorenzo Snow. I was impressed with this quote from that manual:
We can see the hand of the Almighty establishing a kingdom spoken of in ages long past by Daniel the Prophet,— a kingdom which shall grow and spread until it fills the whole earth [see Daniel 2:44], when light and intelligence shall be so generally diffused that it shall no longer be necessary for any man to say to his fellows, “Know ye the Lord, but all shall know him, from the least unto the greatest;” [see Jeremiah 31:34]and when the Spirit of the Lord shall be poured out upon all flesh to such a degree that their sons and their daughters shall prophesy, their old men shall dream dreams, their young men see visions [see Joel 2:28], and when there shall be nothing to hurt or destroy in all the holy mountain of the Lord [see Isaiah 11:9].9 [See suggestion 2 on page 246.]
We always hear so much about the calamities of the last days, the destruction and the wickedness, I had to stop and reconsider this quote! Look at the abundance of positive that was foretold by not just one prophet - check out those notes of where the quote comes from... Daniel, Jeremiah, Joel, and Isaiah! Visions, dreams, all shall know Him from the least unto the greatest... the Spirit of the Lord...
