Beautiful Christmas filled with Traditions of Love & TWO MISSIONARIES!!!!!

Christmas at our house was beautiful!

Christmas eve we invited several families to come caroling with us. We have a fun tradition of homemade hamburgers and Egg Nog shakes after caroling that evening. We were surprised that the regular group of carolers didn't show up, but we had invited some new groups and the A family came as did the Sister Missionaries. It was perfect!  This year S and J worked on the trailer and sound equipment. We had high tech this year!  J pulled the trailer with his truck and had the generator in the back with the sound equipment. It was great! We had a playlist of karokee music and he uploaded the words to our Bradharr.com website so we could have words to all the songs. It was the best yet!

S decided that since we had the generator going already, he strung lights around the trailer!  It was a beautiful sight!  I am sorry that I didn't get a photo because I had to rush in and pick up the sister missionaries who didn't have a car that night but wanted to participate with us. It was fun to have them!  When I got home everyone was ready to go!
I had 15 candles ready to share, and S lite them each as we pulled up to the house. The little boys of the A family and/or Captain J carried them to the door and wished each family a Merry Christmas!  We went through those 15  quickly!  The temperatures were perfect so we were not even cuddling under the blankets!  We could have caroled for another hour!

Elder C wrote in his letters that he has been caroling lots lately. He has found that it is a great way to get the people together and have them go with him to the less active and non member houses near them. He said in his letter that he had more than 30 people out one night!  That is lots!  I am so grateful for his good example and carrying traditions from home to Singapore!  Go Elder C!!! xoxoxoxo

After caroling, we invited everyone to stay for our traditional dinner - and they did. It was so fun to have friends and sister missionaries join us. We loved visiting and laughing, learning and sharing about Christmas memories, wishes and expectations!  I had to rush the sisters home just before 9 and missed saying good-bye to our friends, but hugged those sisters and told them of our Father's Love for them!  He knows of their sacrifice and desire to please Him! We wept together as we parted. Sending loves to my missionaries around the world!  xoxoxoxoxo

Christmas at our house was perfect this year. Not too big, not too quiet!  B was soo excited!  She wanted to get up at 4 a.m.!  We told her not until 6:30. We started hearing everyone in the hallway about 6.  J sleeps clear downstairs and they were worried that he would never get up and come upstairs.  hahaha.
In years past, Santa has wrapped the living room, signifying that he came, and blocking sight for any who try to sneak down. This year, he didn't. The kids were all worried that maybe he didn't come!  He did. He must have run out of time, or thought it would be funny to trick them!  If he had not come yet, they better go back to sleep so he can right?  They were pretty worried in the morning.... He made it alright!

The highlight of the day was of course talking to our missionaries!  We had the Sisters back over so they could talk to their families. One sister arranged to talk to her family in the morning at 10 a.m..  So they came about 9:30 and had a poncocka just before setting up the computers and making the connections so they could have their hour with their family.  We expected Sister L to call (really Google Hangout) about noon.  It was sooo good to see her!  She was at the home of a member using their cell phone so the screen was really little.  In order to see each other, she had to hold the phone pretty close and talk to us. The photos via Hangout aren't great but they remind me that I got to hear, laugh and share love with her!!!!

Elder C didn't get to call until later. He is 15 hours ahead of us, so it was Thursday morning when he called. We expected him about 6:45 but he called an hour earlier.

We had just finished with the other sister talking to her family when I heard the Google Hangout call sound. I ran in that room to see him trying to connect!  EEEEkkk!!! It's C!!!!  We were soo grateful to see him!
They are both doing great!  C wrote later in his email on the weekend that it had been a hard week. He didn't show that!  While talking to him, Captain J claims that "his dimples never went away!"  That is not true because when B started near the end of our time to sing "The Greatest Adventure is what lies ahead...." I was already in tears and C cried too.

I am sure it is hard to be in the field for the holidays.  They both said that it was a slow week because everyone is busy with family and out of town. I saw that for the sisters here in our stake too.  I am so grateful for not one but Two great missionaries out this year and another who has returned home and finished the next goal successfully!  Sooo much to be grateful for!  I am soooo blessed!  Laus Deo!

These photos all make me smile. I am so grateful for these awesome young people!  Go Smile Adventures Team!  I am grateful for you!  xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
