The next day, Saturday, we jumped on our bikes again to share beautiful memories together! We had stopped at the visitor center and learned that these trees don't grow from seeds as quickly as they grow from the roots of the ancestor trees. These are generation trees. They are so beautiful! We certainly felt the loving arms of our family reaching out and lifting us even beyond their tree limbs higher and higher than we can even imagine!
We found a little back road to park our rig and trailer at so we could bike this amazing stretch of road that was nearly silent! Seriously we had the entire park nearly to ourselves! It was another beautiful temperature day. We started from this pullout thinking we were riding highway, but quickly found an abandoned road that then connected with hiking trails. It was hard to bike because we were constantly in AWE at the majesty and beauty of what we were discovering! The kids were constantly hugging another tree to understand how huge around they were, and it was hard to hold onto the handlebars of the bike because we wanted to lay on the ground and look up at the pillars towering around us! Look how tall that one is! Wow! Can we all reach around this one? Wow!
This photo was taken with all of us inside the base of the tree! Pointed up. Amazing!
It is hard to not just super size all these photos! We took lots and I am sure these aren't the best, but this gives a glimpse into that beautiful day!

This huge tree that had fallen over was a favorite!
That evening, we found a hotel not far from a church - that was a miracle! Saturday morning, we had a problem with the car starting, but when we found someone to jump us, that didn't solve the problem. B determined that it was a short on the trailer wiring and that if we simply unplugged the trailer lights each time we turned off or on the rig, we would be ok. It started immediately after we unplugged them. Ok. Plan.
The next morning - Sunday we believed church was within a few short blocks, and so allowed about 20 minutes to find our way there. Hurrying out to the car on that Fast Sunday morning, we found it wouldn't start again! Ugh! We quickly determined that we didn't have time to get it fixed and make it to church so we would walk and fix it later. Unloading the stroller and finding the GPS to guide us, we found our way the several blocks to the church, arriving just after the sacrament. We doubled the attendance and wish we weren't late, but what can you do? All of us running along the road over the railroad tracks in Sunday clothes was a sight not often seen in that little CA town! We sent the kids to Primary and I found a Sunday School class where the lesson was fabulous on the full armor of God. The teacher shared statistics that someone was purchasing a new computer and wanted to just do Family History on it. I missed the first part trying to find classes for the kids, but he explained that somehow they talked to a general authority and they said to plan for approximately 70 million names of people who they think have been on the earth. Ok, take that 70 million, that means that if that represents 2/3 of the hosts of heaven, then there are 35 million who didn't get bodies. If you take the number of 8 million people on the earth today, then we each have about 7 spirits working on just us every minute! And how much work do they have to do on some people? Not much on the guy in the bar or the gutter that just left the bar! That means as members of the church we have lots of forces working on us! Yes I know! He talked about his office window being at street level and how often he observes people walking down the street talking to themselves. He said it is easy to brush them off as crazy, but he stopped. He believes they are not just that! He shared that they were being instructed by those spirits and they they needed the power of the Priesthood to cast those spirits away. He invited us to consider that and to remember that we have access to the power of the Priesthood in our lives and that we should use it! I am so grateful I got to hear that message! I really needed it!
In the meantime, B, J and S had gone to the rig, and installed the new starter that we just happen to carry in the back of our car! :) Hahaha funny! Yes they fixed the car, without buying anything that Sunday morning. They did borrow a couple tools from the maintenance guy at the hotel, but by the time B found him to borrow them, J and S had found a work around! I am so grateful for awesome gentlemen who take such good care of us!
They drove the car after the last hour where the kids and I had returned to Sacrament meeting again so we could partake of the Sacrament. I am so blessed! That afternoon we drove back to San Fran and played on the beach in the sand. We took these (and many many other) beautiful shots! Laus Deo!
These little ones are so blessed to have such a great Dad who cares and loves them! I am so grateful for him! Love you forever B!!!!!
This way cute boy J is so awesome to his siblings! We all adore him and are so grateful to have him close so he can join us for special occasions! Somewhere out there is a cute girl being prepared for him, and she is going to be way blessed because he is sooo awesome! Look how he cares for his sisters! Love you J!!!! Forever!!!!
I love all these toes and 20 others we missed tons this grateful weekend! We all talked about bringing you two Elder and Sister back soon! We Love you!!!!
