Life is full and beautiful! I am so grateful! Tonight my home is full of young people! We got a call from Jed on Wednesday asking if he could bring some friends home for the weekend. Always! Always welcome! He showed up late Friday night with 17! :) What fun! Here is a glimpse of the fun yesterday at Angel's Landing in Zions!
Cute J just jumps in and loves having all these new people to learn and talk to.
Thursday of this week I got to sit on the Dixie Leadership Education panel again. I have done this for many years now, and I am so grateful for the opportunity. As I represent Homeschooling, and consider prayerfully what message I need to share with these leaders about the opportunity and blessing of homeschooling, I am always humbled! I am so grateful for I get to be this kid's mom! I get to teach him math and reading! I get to celebrate with him when he does well, and struggle with him as we learn letters and sounds and try to paste them together to make words!
Always the issue of socialization comes up! Yes, my homeschoolers know how to interact with others! What fun we're having! I think most of all we love being a family and doing what we do together! It was said by one of these cute girls "I feel like I am at this most awesome spiritual singles camp!" I am grateful that we get to learn and interact together as we do hard things! This time little Sophia did it all the way! We lifted and held on of course, but it was the first time, we didn't carry her up in a backpack! She climbed it in big smiles! Love you S! Be safe and hold my hand!

B's answer to the socialization question is... kids often become as socially awkward as their parents! No wonder my kids don't struggle! B is such an awesome Dad! Thank you Handsome! I am so grateful for you! xoxoxo
Everyday lately has been full to the brim! Cinnamon Bread and then treats and Cookies for 40 for Dixie Leadership Day. This little S was in for an ultrasound on his little unit - not to worry. Just fluid still trapped there - common for infants, just taking it's time to dissipate. Yea! Dinner for the neighbors who lost her sister (22 adults there preparing for the funeral!) Wew! That was Thursday!
Valentines Day, Friday was payroll, taxes, lots happening!
So grateful for two in the mission field! They are doing great! Happy Valentines Day Valiant Missionaries! We love you forever! I haven't gotten photos from them since Christmas! They sound great in their emails! Praying for you L and C! xoxoxo
Hold to the Rod - the Iron Rod! 'Tis strong and bright and true! The Iron Rod is the word of God, 'Twill safely guide us through! Yes, I am grateful to have the words of Prophets to teach and guide us! It does guide us through this world of scarrry cliffs and challenges! When we hold on and move forward (important to have faith and keep moving in a forward direction,) then... miracles can and do happen! Many, Many this week! Laus Deo!
This is on the way up! This narrow little path winds along the top of the sandstone...towering hundreds of feet in the air on both sides! Some places there is a chain to hold onto (as seen in our hands on the right in this photo! There are several places, where it is literally only one way - the top of this edge is so narrow on both sides! I was busy holding little hands worried about safety! No photos in those places!

We made it to the top! B is taking this photo and S is tucked behind, but he is there! I am so grateful to have all these tucked in right this minute here in my home! We came home to have hamburgers and then they went out to do a movie on the rocks! Today, Sunday, we are planning breakfast, 11:00 Singles ward (haha - get ready! These cute young singles will double the attendance last time J was done!) We will attend our ward, and then we hope to tour the Brigham Young home here in town. Then Mission Prep - chuckling as I smile at the increase that will bring there! They are all so strong! Not all have served, but we are grateful to fill our Sunday afternoon with power! Sure love this cute young man! He is a fabulous, fun leader!
Hundred's of feet below behind this little granola bar muncher! Sure love you S!!! Be safe!

As we were with these great young people....
One speaking of her mission said "I checked out of life, and checked into the Celestial Kingdom on earth." How? How can we be in the world, but not of the world? How can we live Zion on earth? Is Zion possible? Are our missionaries this? We have long talked of a time when we may be called to flee... to the new Jerusalem... we have been called! President Monson called for our young people to go serve the Lord, and they have responded. Are they as the Armies of Helaman, answering the call? Are they fighting courageously? Valiant and strong? Do they know that their Mother's KNOW it! I hope so!!! Thank you C & L!
Another speaking about teams of youth she coaches said, she loves Spartans and the example they are of teamwork. She said they used shields to surround their city, but their shield didn't shield themselves, they shielded their neighbor and they had to trust their neighbor to protect them. Bringing a city of people who trusted explicitly each other! Isn't that what Zion is?

xoxoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoI teach GD again next week. My lesson is #8 "Living Righteously among a Wicked World" Lot chose to pitch his tent near the city of Sodom. He didn't choose an anchor that was stable! He knew that the city was wicked, yet he chose there when he and his brother Abram couldn't get along and it was proposed that they go separate directions. Where does our tent face? What do we choose to saddle up right next to? Within 12 verses in Genesis 14 he had moved into the city! Didn't take long! He liked some of the things happening in the city - were their schools good? How often do we admire something and before we know it, we move in? If our goal is trying to build Zion... a city like Enoch's then why aren't we? How? What do we need to change so we are?
