I am so grateful for inspiration and direction from my Heavenly Father! Tomorrow I have several responsibilities I am preparing for tonight. Last week I was asked to substitute in Primary leading the music. What a fun place to serve! I love to share my testimony as we sing the songs of the Gospel! Last week's sharing time was on Prophets. We enjoyed singing Follow the Prophet as asked, but also included Latter-day Prophets, Build an Ark, We'll Bring the World His Truth, and a new one called I Will Shine (with a flipchart I created for this one linked here). It was super fun! I miss those smiling faces eager to learn and sing and share! What a cute song the new I Will Shine is! The kids loved it! I found lite up wands at Target I was going to have the kids use to help me lead, but we didn't get to them! They would have loved them!
For tomorrow, I have been struggling, trying to prepare for each part all week! I am assigned to teach Gospel Doctrine on the Lesson on Ruth and Hannah titled "All the City doth Know that Thou Art a Virtuous Woman!" I have struggled on how to share this story. How do we apply these ancient teachings to our life today? I was guided to this Sperry Symposium by Brother Kerry L. Muhlestein on this very book a few weeks back as I was driving home from Salt Lake. It was a great lesson to listen to on the way home, that was before I knew I would be teaching it soon! I know that the Lord provides a way for me to accomplish the things He asks me to do! Somehow!
Tonight as I was scrubbing white shirts wondering how I should introduce Ruth and Hannah. S came into our "Command Central" room and asked if he could use the computer to print his packing list for his next adventure... EFY. Before I knew it, I heard this video which ties into my lesson tomorrow perfectly, playing to us. It is perfect! Yes, the Magic Bag of Destiny! What did Ruth and Naomi put into the bag, and what did they get out? What do we put into our own bags? His Three hints to success are applicable too! 1. Be prepared to step outside your comfort zone. 2. Put God 1st. 3. Focus on taking things Home , change the way you live as result of the experience! Ruth, Naomi and Hannah all lived those principals! We need to too! Thanks for inspiration and heavenly messages! I have a few other responsibilities including some prep for Girls Camp coming in July and an Advancement Scouting meeting tomorrow night I am supposed to address Fundraising Eagle Scout Projects at. I have a bit to prepare for the evening presentation, but I spent several hours over the last few weeks working on that, I will be ready.

The kids and I picked up S from Timberline on Staff as a member of the Key Three today. He is amazing! After we picked him up we went over to Navajo Lake to check it out for Stake Girls camp in July. We splashed in the water for a minute - little S was carried out and helped to stand on a rock a way's out there. He fell off and got really cold in the water! That was enough at the lake, we took off his clothes and headed to Cascade Falls. It was pretty... I hate it when people wreck things! When we got there, there were a couple families there and all their teen kids had climbed over the fence to a dangerous place. They climbed out and then the Dad of one of the families announced he was going to climb over and take these other two little girls there. Dumb. That's how people get hurt and then they call an attorney and expect them to represent that they were hurt at someone else's fault. Dumb. I found a ranger station to report the problem to.B and J went to a Climbing Certification today to be prepared for Girls Camp in July. He just got home - miracles that the truck made it! He lost 4th gear at Cove Fort and had to come home at 50 miles/hour limping. We are grateful for miracles! That is truly a miracle! Cove Fort is 2 hours away! Welcome Home B!
