Respect - It's a two Way street!

The Man, John Wayne doesn't leave much to wonder regarding relationships with others. He lets others know what IS and what is NOT acceptable. This is an important lesson for all of us in all the roles we play... child, sibling, friend, parent, spouse, leader to name some important ones!  We should show respect always and we should also be as bold as The Man and demand respect when it is not shown! Several I would love to share this clip with.  "Daddy" is a new code word at our house... I am grateful for so many fabulous relationships!

I was introduced yesterday to two fabulous pieces of art by Matt Clark.  One titled "Eternal Suffering" and the other I don't recall but was about the spirit emerging through the trials of life.  They are both thought provoking pieces!  Suffering - we must redefine in our minds as learning and growing.. reaching ever closer to our Father and His glory!  If we are constant - unmoved, unchanged, uncorrected... just floating along then we aren't progressing! Our Father expects us to grow and develop!  When we suffer challenges, trials, growth pains, we are given opportunity to learn and grow.  We aren't forced to grow and change, we can stay stagnant, stale and outdated. Or we can choose to be molded and shaped into the beings our Father wants us to be!  I am being molded and shaped!  I know that like the sculptures, as a result, there are scars, dents, holes in our hearts, but that is part of that growing process! If we expect to learn and grow, we will have such battle wounds!  Our Savior had wounds too!  He knows it will take some battle wounds for us to return to Him. He expects those, has anticipated them already, and is ready to heal our hearts!  Not that the wounds won't be there, but that we have learned and Come to Him.

I recently finished reading  The Road Less Traveled by Scott Peck. It is a great read and I am grateful to be on that road less traveled. I will choose to go down that path! I love and know love. I want to teach my children about love in a true form. I love this man soooo much!  I am so grateful to wake up in his arms! I miss him a lot lately!  You are the Best B!  Thank you for making my world beautiful!
