This week was Back to School for the kids in our neighborhood. I love having my kids with me! I am such a lucky mom!
Monday as the other kids all waited a the bus stations around town, my kids jumped on their 4-wheelers with their Dad and waived as they went to play at the river together! :) Oh the benefits of homeschooling!
I took the hour to go for my run to the top of the bluff that morning. I love to get out for a bit of exercise! As I came to the top of the hill, thinking of all the kids that head off to schools, a place I pretty devoid of the Spirit of God, I was worried about them, praying for them! Thinking of each of those beautiful young women I spent a week with at camp, thinking of them individually, I looked out to the horizon above my head and the sky was not clear as it usually is in St. George. There were clouds blocking the sun from shining right on us. Through the clouds were beautiful streams of light - flooding the earth with light and warmth, truth and protection! I have so much to be grateful for! That morning I saw in those rays of light, angels coming to encircle our children about and to protect them as they head into this world! I am so grateful for the heavenly knowledge!
The last two weeks at church I have been priviledged to be in Primary doing music while the chorister was away. We sang lots of songs, but the one I was asked to teach was "I'll Seek the Lord Early." Yes we have to seek! To work at at it, to look for Him! I testify that when we look, when we are aware of His presence around us, we WILL find HIM! I am so grateful! I loved singing with those awesome young people! They are great and I love to sing to the Lord our testimonies of truth!
This week I have been studying for my calling - Gospel Doctrine - :) It is super hard and scary for me!!!! Anyway, my lesson includes 2 Corinthains 32 where it says "Be Strong and of Good Courage... then it says that they be with us are more than they that be with them!" That was what I saw Monday morning - the angels that out number by FAR those that are on the other team!
Here is the right quote from the scriptures:
7 Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:
8 With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
