In Alma we learn about the battles of Moroni and Helaman. Moroni is out fighting, trusting that those back at home will send fortifications and supplies to those who have been sent out to defend their lands and their people. Moroni goes forth in battle with his armies spread carefully around, in his best strategic plan to protect the Nephites. There comes a point in time when Moroni is at the end, he no longer has supplies for his armies, they have been fighting against numbers that far outweigh their forces, but succeeding still because they doubted not and believed that God would protect them. Moroni writes to the officers of the government back home, and is quite stern about questioning them why they haven't sent support!
