Cute Sophia's birthday was Monday. We had stake baptisms that morning, and Rena had brought donuts so we brought a few home. She saw them and said "You are the best Mom ever!" Oh I wish!
We made Poncocka's for her for breakfast. Then we had decided to work a plan to have a surprise party for her. We realized the night before that the public schools were letting out early that day, by 1:00. So I texted some of her friends, and we arranged to pick up several of them (8) at 2:00.

Sara, Haley, and Brinley went to Haley's new apartment here in St. George, (which she hasn't really moved into yet - their stuff is all in a storage unit in Rexburg...we are going this next week to get it) and they made butterfly cupcakes for her. Then they came back about 1:30, and kidnapped her, blindfolding her eyes, and carried her to the car where they took her to the duck pond to feed the ducks. She had no idea! I picked up her friends, and we met at the Children's Museum. We didn't know it was member's only day. I bought a Grandparent pass, and that allowed us to all get in on that very quiet day. Others were there, but wouldn't pay the $75. to get in for a year pass, so we had the entire museum to ourselves. We had 16 of us there! It was so much fun, the two hours passed very quickly! It was last minute change, we had planned a few games at the park, but the projected temperature was to be 107 and it was just plain hot outside! This was a great air-conditioned answer! We gathered outside at the splash pad and had a cupcake and capri sun drink. The kids all had fun! Sophia loved the surprise and the fun with her friends!

That evening, we made Sezuan chicken and noodles and took it to Gunlock with the canoes and paddle boards for a family party for Sophia. Grandpa and Grandma Harr surprised us, and called that afternoon saying they were in town, so they joined us for dinner only at the lake. It was fun to be there for the evening!

Annie's brother is staying with Jed and Annie, and he thought he lost his glasses. The miracle of the night was we searched and searched in the water at the boat dock for them. He thought they had been in his shoes, and when someone threw them to shore they had fallen out. After a prayer, and searching, we gave up and went to the pavillion to clean up dinner. To our relief, he found them in Jed's truck! We stopped right then, and I offered a prayer of thanks for helping us find them! It was a fun evening and happy 7th birthday for cute Sophia!!!
