Angels Beside Me

A couple of weeks ago, after Mother's day, I was feeling particularly blue, and asked Brad for a blessing to get rid of the sadness I felt about my extended family situation.  He is so amazing, kind, fabulous and loving. He always is willing, worthy and prepared to give blessings when asked.
He laid his hands upon my head, and the little I recall was that he told me to be aware of the angels around me! He said "those of your family from both sides of the veil are helping and assisting you."  I love in the most recent conference, our new Prophet, President Russell M. Nelson invited all of God's children on both sides of the veil to come unto Christ.  It was powerful, and I felt them all celebrating that we are indeed "Coming to our Savior!"  Fast forward to this blessing, the words said that angels from the other side of the veil had been assigned to come and assist me, further, he told me that I would be entitled to even see them with my natural eyes to know they were here helping me.
I love angels! I am so grateful for their kind, loving, care in heavenly ways!
The past couple of weeks, I have continued to feel discouraged as our prophet has called us to "Be One!" The celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Priesthood to all male members of the church was stirring to my core!  I want to Be One! I want to gather to Zion and have all common among us (3 Nephi 26:19 - has been open on my counter for awhile - staring up at me!)
Today I took my littlest littles to swimming lessons. I had a book to read and some handwork to fill the time as I watched them swim with grins all over their tender faces! As I was there, reading, a woman from my past - she was one we fasted for when I was very young and her husband passed away from cancer. He was one of the first people I knew that died. My Dad was the bishop at the time, and our family felt particularly close to their family as they lost their dad and my dad spent so much time there by their side!
Anway, this amazing lady from my far distant past, came over with one of her grandchildren in arm, and sat down beside me. She asked about how I was. We chatted for a very brief few minutes before I found myself listening to her tell about how hard it is to let go of past hurts to the emotions! She said physical abuse, bruises, broken bones, black eyes all heal. But attacks to heart and soul through words and actions that scar the heart, mind and soul of people are hard to erase. In fact, she explained, we are to forgive, yes, but we are to never forget so that we won't repeat and pass forward those scars!

Cute Jakob headed on a scout campout. He is so prepared and helpful!  I love you Jakob!!!

This was when the waterline broke at the office. We are SO lucky to have Jed around to help us!  He handled the fix from start to finish!  The line was just like a flexible garden hose and had popped a hole. Wow. I hope we don't have any more problems like that while he is gone to law school the next three or four years!

This is Sara (front) Jakob, Sophia, Stephen and Bradley in the background at one of our favorite activities, canoeing at Gunlock.  It is a small lake, just perfect for our canoes! On the far side there are red rocks we call Pirate Island. It is so fun to paddle around them and climb there. Fun memories for all together!
What a cute team these three are!  They drive like this down to feed the horses and to water the little tree down on our property by the river. I am so blessed!
Chandler and Stephen holding on tight on our jetski this summer at Quail lake. I am so grateful for both of these boys!!!
This was one afternoon I had to deliver water to Cedar and on the way back decided to stop and take these two cute little people Stephen and Sophia on the Kanarraville Waterfall hike.  I love spending time with them! They were such great little hikers!

SO darling! I am such a lucky Mom!!!

Cute Sophia was at a Lacrosse Banquet with me and kids, and fell from the top of the twirly slide. She said she was praying the whole way down that she wouldn't break her head! Oh dear little angel!  I was there without Brad trying to support Brinley, so I made Sophia sit on my lap trying to cry as quietly as possible for a long time so we could support Brinley. Finally they got done, and we headed to the Dr. office for this x-ray to learn her little arm was broken.  She chose a purple cast. I am sorry little angel! So grateful for bodies that heal quick!

Cute photo of Chandler and Sophia (7) in the parking lot at our office building on the Boulevard.
This cute photo of Liesl was cutting watermelon for dinner with a pocket knife on the tailgate of Jed's truck on their first night at Jed and Annie's new house in Idaho. They went up with a trailer full of construction equipment to remodel their little house. They had sleeping bags and foam pads to sleep out in the backyard, but in all the juggling of moving out of their condo and putting their stuff in the horse trailer for us to bring up a little later in the week, they didn't get ANY kitchen stuff!  So the next photo shows Annie flipping hamburgers with a concrete trowel they planned to use the next day to lay new tile in their house!  Oh memories in the making!  We sure love these adventure loving kids!

This photo of our truck was snapped as we left Jed and Annie (in that truck) as we pulled out of the church parking lot after being there for a couple of days to help them. They had to keep our truck to pull the horse trailer back after they get it unloaded after a few more days of construction.  Jed is so fantastic!  He has great energy and faith!  I love him so much!!!! Tears as we left and tears now as I type!

Here is part of the team as we laid the final tiles in the backdoorway of their new house! It was a lot of travertine tile, beautiful when it got done!

This last photo for this post is looking over cute Jed's head through their kitchen into the living room!  It was a lot of tile! He is a pro!!!
