Thanksgiving 2018 is upon us! We have been running and running and I am grateful today to slow down for a minute and write! I have redesigned my blog today because for a time it has been too difficult to find a way to write. The new post button was hidden and I love the photo of the woman touching the hem of the Savior, but I had it set at the big picture at the top of the page so I couldn't see any of the photos from the last post. It just wasn't very easy to write and see the posts so I haven't written well at all in the past year.Changing that! I am excited for the new opportunities every day brings! Today I have a minute - I shouldn't but I am just stopping and writing and reading because I need to fill my bucket before I can go again!

Yesterday we worked on the Bloomington roundabout decorations, then we had to go straighten the top of the Jubilee of Trees tree that we donated this year. The tree was too tall for the ceiling in Stephanie Bevan's home so we had to cut the top off the tree. :) Not once, but twice! I am so grateful for Samuel's help! Then we had the big white star on the top at the dixie center, but we switched for the smaller star on the top because it was just too big! Then I made three log cakes for Jakob's birthday. His birthday is November 22, which is Thanksgiving day this week, but because that will be a special turkey meal - not his favorite, and because won't have our married kids with us on Thursday, we opted to have his birthday dinner at 5:00 on Tuesday when we could have almost (only missing Jed) everyone in town together. Jakob choose Pulled Pork Burritos for his favorite meal. He is so darling! With Chocolate log cake for dessert. Instead of making Chocolate log, and then chocolate trifle I just made three chocolate logs, and we used that for the treat for the shower too. We sent out about 55 invites for Annie to friends and family in St. George. I think we had about 30 people come to the shower. It was a good time. I wish I had been a little more proactive on the flowers for the shower. I thought I had deligated that job, but when it got time to get it out, no one knew how to put them together. Annie had several flower garlands pinned to her Pinterest board, and I had shared those with sisters, and they were to bring the felt and pieces that we needed to put them together. I learned just this morning, I could have ordered the flowers already cut out and we could have just glued them together. Oh well!

Sam is the cutest! Last night Cassidy was crying a little tiny bit, and someone else - Brinley didn't want to try to calm her down. She passed him to Sam and she immediately stopped crying! Sam was so cute admitting that he seemed to be good with kids, because they usually stop crying for him! He was right! He held her for quite awhile and she was just great! I love him SO much! He has changed so much in the last year! He lives in a casita arrangement right now over the river in Kevin Hansen's ward, it is close enough that we see him often, but he has his freedom to do what he wants. It is perfect! I am so grateful for the opportunity to have him safe but independent all at the same time! Brinley needs it right now too. She is just barely turned 17 and so that is not an option quite yet. This little one is our first Grandbaby -Chandler and Haley's little Cassidy Ann! She came to earth on 10 2 18. What a beautiful addition she is to our family! I will do a post on her birth!
