Ragnar: Chase the Moon - Beautiful Run!

It was a new, full, strawberry beautiful Moon! Monday, June 17th filled up and somehow snuck away. I learned about the Ragnar Chase the Moon event, and my heart wanted to do it! Anyplace in the world, participants run 6.7 miles under the new moon as part of the Ragnar: Chase the Moon Challenge. I didn't get my shoes tied to go until 1:10 a.m.  I determined I would run on the roads so I didn't get scared or find wild animals that might scare me!  I googled how far I needed to go out to make it the 6.7 - the St. George Ford Shop via the road was 6.8 - and off I went!
I wanted to make it in less than 2 hours, knowing it might be 3:00 a.m. before I got back. Oh well. I wanted some exercise and to do something for myself to feel better. So I went!

I am so grateful for a beautiful community to run in. I am grateful to feel safe. I am grateful for legs that are a little sore as a result of that fun! I made it in 1:20. I saw a big fat raccoon by the Southgate pond in the dark section just beyond the roundabout. On the way back, my feet were uncomfortable. I stopped three times to loosen the ties on my shoes so they would not hurt.

It was beautiful!  I never did register to participate with Ragnar - it was free, but I didn't know if I would get to, so I didn't until it was too late and the website was closed for that event. Nevertheless, I loved a challenge, and enjoyed the run!

I love this Ragnar Challenge summary:  "Ragnar is about coming together to do things we could never do alone. Whether it's running around the moon or running to support a worthy cause, Ragnar Challenges ask you to dig deep, come together and to do amazing things."

"Houston: We have a Challenge!"
I want to meet the challenge to Find Light in every minute! I am Off to a great start!  Thanks Ragnar for the Challenge!
