This last week I have written a lot! I have six BYU Online classes, and to be true to my commitment to the BYUI Honor Code it says we should not copy material from one class to another so I wrote something different for every class! That is a lot of introductions! I feel I should copy and paste them here just to preserve the memories I recorded in them since I didn't spend my usual time writing in private places.
Here they are:
Here they are:
My name is Märta. I live in St. George, Utah which is near Zions National Park in Southern Utah. I love to be outside, and we have lots of beautiful places just outside our door to explore! I attended BYU Provo years ago, but dropped out to support my husband through Law School, and to have a family. I am so grateful to be back pursuing this dream! I have homeschooled my kids, and always said I wanted to finish my degree before they did, but I have three kids who have earned their Bachelors Degrees and now one in Law School before me! I am blessed to still have little people in my home. I love being a mom! We love Adventures together!
I look forward to learning in the class. I do the accounting for my husband's successful law firm. I look forward to learning more efficient ways, and new understanding through this course. I am grateful for the educational programs of the Church, and the opportunities to learn and grow. I know "the glory of God is intelligence, or light and truth." I love to learn.

Yay for another BYUI Semester! My name is Märta. I live in St. George, Utah.
I have quite a few classes this semester, and so it seems like I have written too many introductions in the past couple of days! The sun is about to set, and I really want to go watch the sunset - one of my favorite things is to catch the beautiful lighting in the morning and
evening. I live in a beautiful place. Right now this rare flower, called a Bear Claw Poppy is out in full bloom. It only opens for about 8 days a year and only in our area.
I am so grateful for the unique creation each of us is! I love the unique. I love that our Heavenly Father created us each completely different! We each have our own mission, or own calling in life. I love that He knew that, and yet is so willing to help each one of us every single step of the way!
I have a beautiful family. I am the mom to five amazing sons, and four daughters. Together we have learned together in all sorts of settings across the country as we held school together where ever we were! Life is full of adventures. I wonder where the coming weeks will carry us. The craziness of CoVid lockdown, the twists and turns of everyday changes is evidence that the world is in a state of huge change. We are living in the mist of great opportunities.
I look forward to learning together in this class as we find the unique opportunities awaiting us!

Happy Tuesday! :) haha are your days warping all together? I love this time we have to center back on family and see what really matters! :)
My name is Märta. I live in Sunny St. George, Utah which is in the southern corner of the state of Utah about 1 1/2 hrs from Las Vegas, and just outside Zion National Park. We love sunny weather, and see the sunshine 362 days a year - almost every single day and we love it! I am grateful to be coming back to school. I stopped to support my husband through Law School and have a family. Now with three kids with Bachelors degrees, one in Law School, and two daughters just about done with their Associate Degrees, it is time for me to show them that education really is important! I have a team of 4 young people still at home, my youngest is 7. Parenting is not the same for any two kids! I have participated in many parenting classes, and learned lots from every one. I am excited to engage in yet another opportunity to learn now through BYUI. What a great opportunity during this time at home.
I have home-schooled all my kids all the way to college. We live in a beautiful little town with a 4 year college here, and so my kids start college at 14, with most of them finishing their Associate Degrees before their friends graduate from high school. I have had kids serve missions in Taiwan, Malaysia, Tennessee, and Panama. I love being a mom and won't trade family time for anything!
A highlight, some 8 years ago, before my oldest left home, we decided to set a goal as a family to go to the Holy Land. We agreed that if Dad paid half, each of the kids had to come up with half. At the time, we determined that meant they had to earn $2K each. When my boys married, the others teased them that they if they wanted to go on the trip, they would have to save double! We determined then to go in four years time - 2016. In 2016 we had the rare and beautiful privilege of taking all 13 members of our family to the Holy Land for Christmas! It was a blessing beyond measure! We will never forget those two weeks spent walking where the Savior walked. Miracle after miracle happened! I love building those kinds of memories together! Laus Deo!

Hello. My name is Märta. I had this all written, and I went to include a photo, and somehow it deleted my entire monologue! Ugh! I joked in the one I had all done that I had not even copied and pasted one part from the other five (5) of these (I am dual enrolled as a pathway and BYUI student this semester) I have had to write in the last two days - integrity and BYU Honor code honored! Just saying. : )
Joy. I live in St. George, Utah. St. George is beautiful and warm. I love red rocks, climbing, biking, water skiing and all things outdoors and sunshine with my family!
I love the Book of Mormon. My calling is Gospel Doctrine teacher, and I am not missing teaching there. I love to study and learn but not so much in front of people haha. I love learning as a family together!
I have witnessed miracles in the details of CoVid. I love that it is changing our world, and bringing us all HOME. What blessings! I look forward to learning together.
Laus Deo - Trivia - do you know what that means? :)
I don't think I will include a photo this time - no joke I don't need to write about me yet again!

Hello Family Relations Class members:
My name is Märta. I live in St. George, Utah where we enjoy sunny great weather most of the year! Great weather allows us to be outside often to do fun things together as a family. Fortunately, I have been blessed to be married to my "Mr. Wonderful" for a short 30 years. Together we have been blessed with five fabulous sons and four amazing daughters. Our oldest three are married, and we welcome their spouses to our family! Our oldest sons each have beautiful daughters, making us Grandparents to two darling little girls now each a year old.
Our youngest son recently turned eight years old, and really wanted to be baptized even though the world is on lockdown due to CoVid-19. He was so wanting to be prepared in case the Second Coming happened with General Conference that he came asking in earnest that he really wanted to be baptized. We made some calls, and he was baptized a couple of days later in the Virgin River near our home on the Friday night before Conference. We will remember that day forever! The Holy Ghost descended in the form of sunshine on his head and little frogs singing in the river as he was confirmed. It was priceless. We missed having family gathered, but we were blessed to have technology join distant family for the parts that were not the ordinance, in fact, his oldest brother Jed shared his testimony on the Holy Ghost from Idaho via Zoom before he was confirmed.
Our family theme for 2020 is "Focus." After prayers or before we depart, we put our fists into the circle and cheer our theme "Focus." I testify that when our lives "Focus" on the Savior, our lives are blessed beyond measure. I love to "Focus" on Him!

It is comical to me the distress so many are experiencing being together. I have loved time together! My kids are used to being home all day, and they love having Dad around! We don't mind having church in our own home. What a beautiful blessing that has been! I agree, it could continue, although the elderly neighbors around me are getting restless. I have been shopping for them so they don't have to go out, and I seriously had to tell them a few weeks back I would only go one day a week! I have never been to the pharmacy so many times in my life! One day one of them called needing me to go urgently for her list. I went to get her list, it included shrimp sauce, oranges, and meatballs. Seriously. What urgent needs - not! That was the week I said enough is enough. Once a week - I will shop on Thursdays and that is it. :)
We really don't eat out much. I still have five little people at home. Our favorite date night out includes a salad bar and raspberry lemonade at Pizza Factory. :) We do have a new desert favorite in town - Nothing Bunt Cakes has yummy cakes! I believe they are a retail chain, maybe you have tried them other places. We have not been out with CoVid. We really are trying to stay in.
I loved the letter from Sister Wendy Nelson about the miracles of the Seagulls. Did you see that? The world won't know what happened, but members of the church will know. We petitioned the Lord for His blessings! Miracles are happening!
