“My purpose is to prepare warriors who have experienced the blessings of the spirit in their life through covenants made with our Savior as we prepare for His return through repentance, faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, following closely the promptings of the Holy Ghost by standing as witnesses of Him at all times and in all things and in all places as we strive to act well our part and fortify our family!”
Become:
Always striving, searching, reaching, learning to become the daughter of Heavenly
Father,he knows I can be. This requires that I listen closely to the Holy Spirit,
follow the promptings I receive, and strive constantly to change. By small and simple things are great things
brought to pass. Change is possible and necessary to progress along the path to
where I want to go!
Instrument
in His Hand: I desire to partner with Him in working
miracles. Miracles require: faith and action, vision to see needs, a heart in
tune, willing hands, resources, and expertise, power of God, worthiness, and
purity. This requires that I stand in holy places with humility and faith. Here
am I.
I am a Gatherer: I celebrate unity and synergy of Truth joining forces for good! I value teamwork and believe firmly that Family is paramount. I will do all I can to strengthen, lift, encourage, cheer, build, and celebrate family! When ye are in the Service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of… God. Why do I do what I do? Because I love Him! As we Gather, serve, love and lift those around us, we Become Instruments in His Hand.

These classes this semester have been a struggle! I have long encouraged my kids to NOT take classes in the summer because we like to spend time together as a family, and I believe in seasons. I understood that this semester was a required part of Pathways to finish my three semesters. Partially because the semester started in April it didn't strick me that it was summer school until recently. Pair that with the time I spent on my Grad Plan for another class in laying a plan for graduation, working on the transfer of my previous credits over, and the plan for the future, I find myself registered not just for summer semester which will go all the way through the summer to the end of July, but I also find myself taking 12 credit hours! What?
I am a third-semester Pathway student - really only because I felt prompted that I was supposed to do that and so I listened to the Spirit and jumped in. Yes, I have learned much as I have gathered with other returning students weekly in the Gathering meetings. Those gatherings have been my own Sociology 310. Right here in St. George to see such diversity in beliefs. To listen to, share with, spend so much time with these people has opened my eyes to the blessings I enjoy, and gifts of vision, ability, willingness, desire, and faith in my own life. As I listen to others complain weekly about simple math, or their struggles to fill out the BYUI Application (recent weeks), and yet juggle not just those few pathway classes, but 6 other credits as well have helped me better see.
Launching Leaders by Steven A. Hitz has been a blessing as I compare and contrast this reading to the materials for Family Relations 160 and the study therein of societal trends leading our world away from marriage, family, and happiness. I am so grateful to pivot my studies often back to the vision of who I want to become, the possibilities available, and the opportunities I have the privilege of seeing, believing, and acting upon! I want to Launch in positive, strong, enlightening ways! I want to Become the Daughter of my Heavenly Father He knows I am. I know He will help me every step of the way! Laus Deo.
