I love this thought from Sister Denise Burton today in our ward Sunday School class. She questioned what is data and what is information. Then the next step she explained is Actionable Intelligence. What do we act on and move forward? I love to learn from others. I am so blessed to have great people in my ward who inspire learning.
Sister Monson shared that in her family she sends out a question every week for her family to think about and then discuss. They have family church at 1:00 where they talk about their question. I love that. This week their question is: Consider Heavenly Father's involvement in the formation of this great country. Others from the recent past have been: How do yo know that your Heavenly Father hears and answers your prayers? or Consider an experience you have had in nature that testified to you that God created this earth. How beautiful! I need to start this in my family. I am thirsty for spiritual discussions. I am doing school but so much of that is so superficial. We need to "move below the surface" in our discussions. I feel like discussions with my kids are not even the surface. They fall asleep with the mere open of the scriptures let alone a discussion of them. We never get to swim deep! I need that.
I was searching for that at the beginning of the year when I asked Brother Webb to teach us. He doesn't seem to join in the Sunday zoom's when they happen. I wonder why.
