I have had a wild few weeks! I have long known that the Lord is testing my family to see how much we will do and if we are committed to Him. I have loved my Entrepreneurship class! I have learned so much! I have loved that it has been mostly self-directed, but the materials have totally aligned with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I know that is true! Our Heavenly Father gives us truths to guide us and help us find success in every way!

I come from a self-employed contractor for my father and I married a man whose dream was to "hang out his own shingle" as an attorney to work for himself. I am so blessed! This class has reinforced what I believe and know to be true! Some of those truths are:
We must remember that Synergy is real! We will do so much better when we invite, consider, and embrace the wise wisdom shared by trusted mentors! Mentors come in all sizes and shapes, and I believe that people are placed along our path to help guide us.
We need to be humble and willing to listen to and heed when confirmed by promptings, the counsel of others. We need to always be ready to act! As the rich man in the Savior's time. We need to be willing to "sell all that we have" if that is what is asked of us for the right purpose. That purpose can not be to make money for the sake of making money! Our purpose should be individual and specific, but should include the purpose of doing good and inviting others to Come Unto Christ! When our purpose aligns completely with His purpose for us, then we will succeed even through the mists of darkness and trials! I love this little poem from the book we read and reported on for this class:
Be Like the Bird
-Victor Hugo
Be like the bird, that pausing
in her fight awhile on boughs too slight,
feels them give way beneath her -
yet sings -
knowing she hath wings.

Indeed, have faith that we have wings of love that will scoop us up and carry us carefully to a safe place! I testify this is true! I am so grateful for the challenges of this world, the opportunities to move forward, and invitations to try. I am also grateful for new days to start over! Sometimes that is the best promise of all! We get to have a new day tomorrow!
These photos are of the flood that we found in our new office in Mesquite Monday morning. Bad things will happen! As an Entrepreneur we must be willing to face struggles and mop up the floor! We learned later that the water main broke beneath the slab of this rented office. We tried to buy this building but they would not sell it. This week we are grateful that we didn't buy it! Plumbers have been working all week to fix the water main line under the building. What a mess. Sometimes unanswered prayers are heaven-sent miracles! We didn't have time for that this week, but because we had our own shop vaccumn, and we acted quickly as soon as we learned of the problem, we went with our family team and we mopped more than 20 gallons of water off the floor! We were able to save all our furniture! We worked most of the day Monday, and left fans blowing on the soaking baseboards. Inspectors came to see the damage for the owner's insurance policy on Monday and acknowledged that clearly we acted quickly and appropriately as the other tenants in the building are much worse off than we are! They invited us to submit a bill for our work. We just know when a job needs to be done, don't sit around asking who is going to pay the bill! Get the work done! Miracles happen when you put your shoulder to the wheel and trust that His yoke is helping you!
Laus Deo! I have learned this overa nd over in this class! Laus Deo! This means "Praise Be to God!" Yes, indeed! I praise Him!
