It is October 2023. I am happy to be working already on the Christmas gifts for our office for this year! What fun! We are making tissue box covers with a beautiful beehive on them to give as the main gift this year. It has me thinking of Refinement - what is that?

I love the truths of this article! He speaks of the importance of the arts and of great literature. He says great books should be re-read often, especially scripture! Yes! He says we should have deep conversations of literature and life around the dinner table especially on Sunday! "Sabbath afternoon for a reverie of uplifting conversation." What a beautiful thoughts!
He speaks of refinement and that Heaven is a "refined place." I believe all this is so true! It makes my heart sing! He speaks of music and the refined nature of those who can perform music. He talks of great composers, Haydn who dressed in his best to compose music because he believed he was going before his Maker! How beautiful is that thought!
I am so grateful for the refined beauty I get to enjoy! My home is filled with great art both in painting and in sculpture as well as living examples of refinement - my beautiful family!
