This past weekend has been beautiful. Jakob has been called to serve in the Philippines Tacloban Mission. He is to report to the MTC there on January 17th. Last Saturday, December 28th he went through the St. George temple to get receive his own Endowment. Those blessings and promises are so powerful!
Then, the next day, he shared a beautiful farewell talk in our ward. Our family was gathered for the Christmas holiday and so we had it a couple of weeks early so they could be present. Samuel and Mylei did not get to be there, they had to be back to work on Friday night, but they had come down from Montana for Christmas and then went back and were invited to join via zoom. It has been a beautiful week!
I quickly want to record a couple of miracles.
1st - the people in the temple on Saturday were heaven-sent! I love our network of friends! Brother Challis (from Jed's Dixie Basketball team) was assigned to take care of helping our family. He escorted me to the endowment room. President and Sister Rebar (Jed's basketball team again) were standing outside the door to welcome us as was Dear Kendall Bundy (scouting hero)! When turned off the stairway to find these three people standing there, I wept for joy. What a blessing good people are in our lives! The session was beautiful. I got to stand in the prayer circle with Elder Jakob! The prayer was SO beautiful and perfect! Heidi and Dave came as did Jeremy and Heidi. My parents were both there which is a miracle in itself (a detour I am just grateful has improved).
